- York leveled the score in the bottom of the frame with a Remedios Garcia (2-for-3, RBI) RBI single to plate home Sofia Soric (2-for-3, 2 R). Â
- The Lightning struck in second with five runs on Garcia (L, 2-6: 5 IP, 10 H, 9 ER, 5 BB, 3Â SO) as a costly fielding error by first baseman Andrea Wright (1-for-2, RBI, BB) allowed Sanchez to score for what proved to be the game-winning run.
- Trailing 9-1, York responded in the third with RBI singles by Garcia and Soric. Â
- In the fourth, Wright worked a leadoff walk to set the stage for Samantha Panameno, who launched a run-scoring triple to left field to push across York's fourth run. Â

- Making her home debut in the circle, Ayanna Saavedra (L, 2-2; 5 IP, 15 H, 8ER, 3 BB, 3 SO) went the distance in defeat for York.Â
