- Alicia Gumbs worked a leadoff walk in the third inning for York's first base runner. She then proceeded to swipe second and third, but was stranded in scoring position as Danielle Guzzardi (W, 6-13: 5 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, BB, 11 SO) retired a trio of Cardinals on strikes to escape unscathed. Â

Two batters later, Faith Howes drilled a single through the right side and advanced to second on a field error that placed pinch runner Samantha Panameno on third. Wright then stepped to the plate and went down swinging to strand runners in scoring position.Â
- Madison Plaza sparked the offense. Standing on third base Plaza was pushed across home plate by Dazey's sacrifice hit to settle the scoring.

- Sofia Soric singled in the third to extend her hitting streak to four games, but Guzzardi rebounded by retiring the final eight batters to preserve the win for Brooklyn. Â
