www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College men's volleyball continued their non-conference slate Saturday with a tri-match hosted by Purchase College. The Cardinals scored a season-best total of 17 points in a set but were outplayed in the first match, falling in straight sets (25-17, 25-16, 25-8) to the host Panthers (3-2) before Bryn Athyn College Lions (6-7) came away with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-17 25-13) decision inside Purchase College Gymnasium.
Game 1: Purchase 3, York 0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-8)
First Set Breakdown
- A 3-0 run from the Cardinals saw them take an early 5-4 lead.
- Purchase responded with an extended 7-3 burst to take an 11-8 edge.
- York leveled the score at 12 with the help of kills by David Heyliger, Jr. and Vincent Agokei
- The Panthers pulled away with a 9-3 spurt to a comfortable six-point lead (21-15).
- Maintaining a 22-17 advantage, Purchase claimed the final three points of the set.
Second Set Breakdown
- Two kills from Heyliger, Jr. sparked an early 4-0 lead for York.
- The Cardinals' stretched their edge to five (6-1) following a pair of attacking errors.

- The Cardinals took a quick 6-2 edge on the serve of Heyliger, Jr.
