JAMAICA, NY --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's soccer returned home Tuesday afternoon for a non-conference meeting against the Brooklyn College Bulldogs (3-6-2), falling 9-0 from York College Outdoor Athletic Complex.
 
First-Half Breakdown
York had a chance to get on the board after six minutes but forward Zaria Neptune's shot was saved by keeper April Hartje. Zasu Alvarez broke the scoring ice for the Bulldogs at the 7:39 mark after prodding the ball home from a corner. Gianna DiPronio doubled Brooklyn's edge 10 minutes later. After recording two assists for the first two strikes, Audrey Jane Young found the bottom corner in the 21st minute with a rifling longshot. The Cardinals kept the Bulldogs at bay for the next 20+ minutes of action until Imani Dickens made the scoreline 4-0 two minutes before the interval.

Second-Half Breakdown
Young got her second of the contest in the 60th minute to add Brooklyn's fifth goal. Sage Bernstein and DiPronio recorded a quickfire double to push the advantage to 7-0 with 17:54 left on the clock. Julissa Chino tacked on an eighth goal at the 75:42 mark, and Chelsea Gonzalez rounded out the 9-0 result just before the final whistle. 

Inside the Box Score
The Bulldogs tallied 29 shots and 19 shots on target, while York produced eight shots and four on goal. Michelle Mancuso (1-6) stopped ten shots for the Cardinals, while the duo of Hartje (2-6) and Siul Mancebo kept the clean sheet for Brooklyn.
