BOX SCORE WAYNE, NJ --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's tennis competed Thursday evening with a non-conference tilt against the William Paterson Pioneers (3-2), taking one point before dropping a 6-1 decision on the road from Dr. Ginny Overdorf Tennis Courts in Wayne, New Jersey. 

In doubles play, York elevated its play by claiming games on all three courts.  The duo of Dawa Bhote and Seunga Jeong were credited with a win by default.  Emperatriz Cesar and Julia Wyman took a pair of games on the No. 1 court at the same time as Bisola Babanumi and Franeidy Mauricio did so at second doubles.   

For the second time this season, Wyman captured victory in fifth singles, topping Joy Shand in a 6-2, 6-4 fashion.  Cesar and Bhote each won four games in defeat on court Nos. one and four, respectively.  On the No. 2 level, Babanumi won a pair of games while Jeong matched her effort on court No. 6.
