NEW YORK-- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College's Andrea Cedeno has been recognized by the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) as a member of the 2026 Women's Tennis Sportsmanship Team. This honor is Cedeno's first postseason laurel with York.

The freshman competed in nine singles and doubles matches in her debut campaign, appearing on the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles court in all matches and reaching the No. 2 singles level on four occasions.

Partnering Lesli Cajamarca in York's season finale at Albertus Magnus College (Oct. 22), the duo claimed a season-best two games at No. 2 doubles. During singles action, Cedeno collected a season-high two games against the Falcons'  Abigail Francis on the No. 3 circuit.

"A month ago she started learning tennis with the rest of the team. She became so addicted that she postponed classes to play matches. She was always there for the team despite her wrist injury, helping others to understand instructions, and helping the team to go through the season!" - Head Coach Branislav Grujic
