NEW YORK --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's soccer traveled Saturday to face the John Jay College Bloodhounds (6-5-1, 3-0-0 CUNYAC), falling by the final count of 9-0 in a CUNYAC matchup at Randall's Island (Field 74). 

First-Half Breakdown
John Jay jumped out to an early lead 3:34 in with Olivia Boucher finishing a run from Surya Nero to net what proved to be the game-winning goal.  Boucher struck again 1:16 later to double John Jay's advantage.  John Jay blitzed the Cardinal defense with four goals over a stretch of 7:07 to take a commanding 6-0 advantage.  Lucia Giangaspero scored in the 14th minute while Zoe Specht and Lillith Eaton reached the back of the net in the 16th and 19th minutes, respectively.  Specht made it a six-score affair at the 20:30 mark.

Second-Half Breakdown
After the Cardinals held John Jay scoreless during a stretch of 26:25, John Jay opened the second half strong.  A header by Eaton at 46:55 accounted for the Bloodhounds' seventh goal before Sofia Astarbi settled a pass from Boucher 2:33 later to extend the lead.  Boucher then settled the scoring in the 52nd minute to register her third tally of the game.  

Inside the Box Score
The Bloodhounds owned the edge  in shots (29-0), shots on target (18-0), and corners (4-0). In net, Michelle Mancuso (2-7-0) turned away nine saves for York, while Gianna Duarte (6-5-1) and Jerlynn Castillo combined for John Jay's clean sheet.
