www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's soccer completed their non-conference road slate Tuesday evening against the Maritime College Privateers (5-4-0), falling 5-1 from Maritime's Reinhart Field.
First-Half Breakdown
In a fiery opening 150 seconds, the Cardinals and Privateers both recorded two shots on target but failed to find the back of the net. Controlling the territory, Maritime cashed in with a Sara Williams goal at the 15:53 mark. Kiera Ford doubled the lead with a 33rd-minute strike. Defending deep, York saw the final seven shots seep through the goal, taking a 2-0 deficit into intermission.
Second-Half Breakdown
Attempting a comeback, the Cardinals mustered three shots in the first 9:36 of play. The positive momentum did not last long, as Ava Morrill got the Privateers' third goal in the 60th minute. A goal by Eva Garcia and a second strike by Ford extended the edge to 5-0 for Maritime.
Zaria Neptune pulled one back for York with under seven minutes left with her second strike of the campaign.

The Privateers came out shooting, totaling 43 shots and 14 on target compared to nine shots and four on target for the Cardinals.
Stephanie Ramirez (0-2) and
Michelle Mancuso combined for nine saves while Maritime netminder Jamie Kibler (1-0) made three saves.
