Maryam Khan made the six-member 2023 CUNYAC Women's Tennis Preseason Player to Watch list, announced Thursday by the league office.
Khan led York College to its lone match point of the season with an 8-6 victory in No. 3 doubles against Brooklyn College in the Cardinals' CUNYAC finale. The Fall 2022 CUNYAC Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll selection saw time at the 4-6 singles and 2-3 doubles courts during her first season at York.
According to the CUNYAC Preseason Coaches Poll, the Cardinals are touted to finish sixth.

Baruch College amassed 24 points, along with four first-place votes, while the Cardinals received 5 points. York's five-match conference slate begins with a home showdown against Brooklyn College on September 12.
The 2023 CUNYAC Championship will take place on October 24 (semifinals) and October 26 (finals), with the league champion receiving an automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament.
York finished last season with a 0-6 record, winning a game in the final match of the season against Brooklyn. The Cardinals will look to vault up the standings under second-year head coach
