York College continues its home stretch Tuesday (Apr. 4) for a CUNYAC showdown against John Jay College

JAMAICA, NY --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College men's volleyball squared off Monday evening in a CUNYAC home doubleheader, falling to the Baruch College Bearcats (15-10, 11-2 CUNYAC) in straight sets (25-6, 25-6, 25-5) in game one, and (25-3, 25-7, 25-11) in the second affair from York College Gymnasium.

Game 1: Baruch 3, York 0 (25-6, 25-6, 25-5)

How it Happened
  • Three service errors by Baruch made it close in the first set, with the Bearcats leading 7-4. 
  • Seven-consecutive points for Baruch pushed the lead to 14-4.
  • The Bearcats won 11 of the final 13 points to claim the first set.
  • Baruch raced to a 7-0 second-set advantage. 
  • Taking four of the following nine points, York trimmed the deficit to 12-4. 
  • Well placed serves allowed the Bearcats to win 13 of the final 15 points in the second frame. 
  • Two teams traded blows early on, as the Bearcats were up 3-2 in the third stanza.
