www.YORKATHLETICS.com)Â York College softball increased their CUNYAC-leading stolen base total Wednesday afternoon after battling the College of Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins (9-5) in a non-conference home doubleheader, losing 9-0 in game one and 14-1 in the second affair from Padavan-Preller Field.

Game 1: Mount Saint Vincent 9, York 0 (5 Inn.)
- Mount Saint Vincent got to York starter Sofia Soric (L, 0-1; 5 IP, 10 H, 6 ER, 5 BB), scoring four runs in the first inning.
- The Dolphins pushed their lead to 8-0 in the second before Sabrina Romero crossed the plate in the third to give Mount Saint Vincent a 9-0 advantage.Â
- Dolphin hurler Serena Duran (W, 3-0; 5 IP, 2 BB, 7 SO) was in control early, retiring her first six batters faced.
- In the third frame, York advanced Madison Plaza and Shamonie Miller to second and third, but were unable to capitalize as Duran induced an inning ending ground out to Lissenny Florentino to cease the threat.Â
- The Cardinals stranded runners on first base in the final two innings, ensuring a 9-0 victory for the Dolphins.
- Mount Saint Vincent had the upper hand in hits (10-0) and walks (5-2) while Miller recorded York's lone stolen base as both teams drew even in that department. Â

Game 2: Mount Saint Vincent 14, York 1 (5 Inn.)
- The Dolphins produced seven hits and five walks in the first inning to take a commanding 10-0 lead on Soric (L, 0-2; 14 H, 14 ER, 8 BB).
- York answered in the bottom of the frame as Miller (1-for-1, BB, R, 4 SB) worked a leadoff walk,then stole two bags before an infield single by Soric put the Cardinals on the board.
- Mount Saint Vincent extended its advantage by crossing the plate four more times in the second.
- After her first inning performance, Miller singled in third and swept second and third to set a career-high with four stolen bases.Â
- The Cardinals threatened in the fifth as Alicia Gumbs walked and stole second before being tagged out trying to take third to close the game.Â
- Soric settled down and silenced the Dolphins by tossing three scoreless innings to notch her second complete game of the season. Â
- Katie Hutter (W, 2-0; 5 IP, 2 H, ER, 3 BB, 9 SO) went the distance to collect Mount Saint Vincent's win.Â
- York tied a season-high with seven stolen bases to push its CUNYAC-leading total to 24 in 25 attempts.
- In the end, the Dolphins owned the edge in hits (14-2), walks (8-3) while York held a 7-2 advantage in stolen bases. Â
- Mount Saint Vincent stranded four runners compared to York's two.
