www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College men's basketball's furious comeback against the City College of New York Beavers (11-6, 5-0 CUNYAC) came up short Friday night, as they fell 74-68 in a CUNYAC home matchup.
How it Happened
- CCNY took a quick 9-0 start behind three Nana Oteng triples.
- The Beavers extended their lead to 20-0 at the 13:36 mark.
- A 28-15 run to end the half dented CCNY's margin to seven (35-28).
- York's Tryes Desinor converted a layup as time expired to end the half.
- Daniel Piszczatowski's layup at 17:37 extended the Beavers' lead to 13 (44-31).
- Desinor's shifty layup with 13:35 remaining capped off a 9-1 spurt, cutting York's deficit to five (45-40).
- Dashaun Galloway's pair of free-throws pushed CCNY's advantage to 11 (60-49).
- York charged with an 11-3 rally to pull within three (63-60) with 6:10 remaining.
- Leading 68-64, Oteng's contested jumper with 1:03 showing on the clock sealed the game for the Beavers.
- Piszczatowski's free-throw with 18 seconds left settled the final.

Terrell Fullerton led York all scorers with 23 points (9-of-16 FG, 2-of-5 3FG, 3-of-4 FT). He also anchored the Cardinals in assists (3) and steals (3).
Olawale Kila recorded his fourth double-double of the season, producing 13 points (4-of-9 FG, 5-of-6 FT) and a team-high 11 rebounds.
Devine Chisholm chipped in with 10 points (5-of-6 FT) and five rebounds.
William Brown netted nine points (4-of-6 FG) and grabbed four rebounds off the bench.
Piszczatowski paced CCNY with 22 points (8-of-12 FG, 6-of-7 FT), six boards, three assists, two blocks, and two steals. Oteng added 20 points (8-of-17 FG, 4-of-5 3FG), six rebounds and three assists. Amir Assani finished with 11 points (2-of-2 3FG) and a team-best 11 boards. Galloway recorded two steals and a game-high seven assists.
The Cardinals made 42.1 percent (24-of-57) from the field, shooting 23.1 percent (3-of-13) from long range, and 65.4 percent (17-of-26) from the free-throw line. CCNY shot 37.5 percent (24-of-64) from the floor, 75 percent (18-of-24) from the charity stripe, and rained in 47.1 percent (8-of-17) of its triples. The Beavers had the edge in rebounds (39-35) and assists (17-11). Meanwhile, York outplayed CCNY in points off turnovers (17-10), bench points (19-8), points in the paint (42-22), and fast break points (24-8). Both schools finished with 14 second-chance points each.
