FLUSHING, NY --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's tennis was recognized by the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) on Wednesday as the league announced its year-end awards.

Residing in Brooklyn, junior Nayelly Rojas earned a spot as a CUNYAC Sportsmanship Team selection for the first time in her career. The accolade made Rojas the program's fourth Sportsmanship honoree in as many seasons, as York produced Sportsmanship Award winners in Monique James (2019, 2021) and Rimsha Razai (2018).  Rojas is York's first Sportsmanship Team recognition since Hadiatou Sow in 2014. 

Rojas played first singles and doubles in all four matches to date for the Cardinals in 2022.

The Cardinals (0-4, 0-4 CUNYAC) close out CUNYAC play Friday (Oct. 28) at home against the Brooklyn College Bulldogs (4-9, 3-2 CUNYAC) at 2 p.m. from York College Courts.
