www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's soccer opened CUNYAC play on Wednesday afternoon at home with a 6-0 setback to the John Jay College Bloodhounds (3-4-0, 1-0-0) from College Point Field.

Mary Meshanski (0-1-0) made 21 saves and faced 46 shots in her debut in goal. Meshanski's 21 stops were the most since Sarah Hilaire registered a program-best 23 saves on October 18, 2016 versus New Jersey City University.
Kimberly Robledo put away the game-winning goal in the 10th minute for the 1-0 lead. In the 22nd minute, Katie Healy doubled John Jay's advantage with her first of two goals on the day to make it a 2-0 game. Leading 4-0 at intermission, the Bloodhounds added a pair of second-half goals to settle the 6-0 final.
Salma Valdez took York's lone corner kick as John Jay owned the advantage in corner kicks (9-1), shots (46-0) and shots on goal (27-0).
The Cardinals (0-3-0, 0-1-0 CUNYAC) are back in action next Wednesday (Oct. 13) to continue CUNYAC play on the road against the Lehman College Lightning (3-3-0, 0-1-0 CUNYAC) at 4 p.m. from South Field in the Bronx.
