Jamaica,N.Y.—The York College mens volleyball team dropped a home game versus New Jersey City University three sets to one ( 15-25, 25-27, 25-23, 20-25).
In this match, the Knights tallied a total of 68 points, 51 kills,15 aces ,49 aces and 25 digs. The Cardinals accumulated 41 points, 34 kills, 31 assists and 26 digs.
For NJCU, Jonathan Andrews (13 kills), Leo Ferrari (10 kills), Julian Moreira (10 kills) had double digits in kills. The Knights also had 3 players in assists ( Aaron Mantilla 21, Jimmy Vega 14, Alexander Umanzor 14).
For York,
Akil Vaughn had 14 kills. His teammate
Kevin Campbell finished the game with 12 kills. They were followed by teammate
Philton Paul who was able to finish the match with 22 assists.
York falls to 3-18 overall, as for New Jersey City University they improve to 9-10.
