www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's tennis produced a win at the No. 1 singles spot for the fourth time this season Saturday afternoon in a non-conference match on the road against the Albertus Magnus College Falcons (4-9) from Celentano Courts in New Haven, Connecticut. The Cardinals took a total of 19 games before facing a 7-2 setback to the Falcons.
Geraldine Guese continues to headline the Cardinals as she posted her program-leading fourth No. 1 singles win of the season. York's top performer produced a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Albertus Magnus' Jessica Coughlin.
Alyssa King grabbed a default win at York's No. 4 singles position.

The Cardinals (0-8) make their return to the postseason Sunday (Oct. 20) afternoon for the first time since 2014. York, seeded sixth, will take on the No. 3 John Jay College Bloodhounds (7-3) from USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center with first serve getting underway at 12 p.m. in Flushing.
Tickets are required and the CUNYAC urge fans to secure their free tickets before attending the event as the on-site registration process will delay their entry to the game. Fans can secure their tickets at www.cunyathletics.com/tickets.
The CUNY Athletic Conference is continuing to promote their Student First Rewards Program. Current CUNY Students that attend the most CUNY Athletic Conference Championship events will have a chance to win Free Tuition for a Year.
