New York, N.Y.--The Men's Basketball team fell in defeat to the Baruch College Bearcats by a score of 68-53 on Thursday night playing on the road.
The Bearcats opened up the game with a 9-2 run. Within 8 minutes of the game, York would find themselves back into it with a successful free throw by
Darin Dove after being fouled by Baruch player Andre Harris. The first half would be played neck and neck until Andre Harris tipped in the ball to give his team a 7-point lead towards the end of the 1
sthalf. York would trail by a score of 27-20 at half time.
For the start of the second half, the momentum started to shift in favor of the home team. Joseph Zecchino would drop a three-point basket to give Baruch a 9-point lead. Failed attempts by the Cardinals on three point shots and missed jumpers would allow Baruch to get away with the win.
Darin Dove was the high man for the Cardinals dropping 14 points shooting 50% from the free throw line. York drops to 8-14 (4-9 CUNYAC) as Baruch improves to 17-4 (11-1 CUNYAC).
The next time out for the Men's Basketball team will be in CUNYAC play versus CCNY on Tuesday February 5
