JAMAICA N.Y.—The York College men's soccer team faced a tough test against defending CUNYAC Champs Lehman College on Wednesday. Despite a strong effort, the Cardinals fell by a score of 2-0.
The Lightning got a goal in each half. Mubarack Ouro scored in the 31st minute off an assist from Sahl Alzubidi. In the 68th minute, Eduardo Victorio closed out the scoring with a shot in goal to make it 2-0.
York had chances in this one, but was never able to convert. York fired nine shots on the day, with one going on net. Lehman's offense was kept off balance by being limited to six shots in the game.
Lehman College improves to 4-5 (2-1 CUNYAC) on the season, while York drops to 1-7-1 and 0-2-1 in conference play. York will visit the College of Staten Island on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at CSI Sports & Recreation Center.
