BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—The York College women's volleyball team fell to Sarah Lawrence College away Wednesday by a score of 3-0 (25-8, 25-10, 25-14).
Senior
Argenis Morales led York in defeat with five kills and one block, while Freshman
Kiara Gonzalez had nine assists and one dig. Junior
Chayana Jimenez had three aces and three digs.
Sarah Lawrence's Cat Ramey, had a tremendous match, recording 11 aces and two kills. While Isabel Pecora had fourteen assists, seven aces and one block.
The Sarah Lawrence Gryphons had no trouble setting the tone of the match with dominant and precision aces by their two leaders Ramey and Pecora. The two combined for 18 aces.
Sarah Lawrence wins its first game to go 1-5, while York drops to 0-6. The Cardinals will play at John Jay College on Thursday at 6 p.m.
