WAYNE, N.J. – The York College men's soccer team were unable to get in the win column as William Patterson University scored the first five goals of the game losing 6-1 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Cardinals had trouble early on when the Pioneers scored in the first five minutes into the contest. William Patterson held York College scoreless leading 5-0 at the half.
The Pioneers controlled most of game offensively. Cardinals scored its lone goal of the game early in the second half when Senior
Rohan Burrell (St. Jago HS/Jamaica, NY) escaped a tie-up with the defender and beat the charging Pioneer goalkeeper at the 48:13 mark. This is Burrell's fourth goal of the season and scoring in back to back games.
The Cardinals will return to action on Sunday with a home match vs. Stevens Institute of Technology at 6 p.m at Aviator Sports and Events Center.
