The York College softball team was held scoreless in a doubleheader at Old Westbury on Wednesday, losing by scores of 14-0 and 8-0.
The Cardinals could get very little going on offense, managing just six hit combined over two games.
Allison Ahmed and
Gabriela Alvarez each had a hit in game one, while
Nathy Reyes was the bright spot in game two, collecting two hits.
Old Westbury put game one away early with a six-run first which was highlighted by a pair of RBI doubles. They also put up five runs in the third inning.
In game two, the Panthers had a six-run second inning where they had six hits and three doubles.Â
York is now 1-16, while Old Westbury improves to 9-7. The Cardinals will host the University of Valley Forge at 1 p.m. on Saturday in a doubleheader. Those games will be played at Queens College.
