BROOKLYN, N.Y.—Although they played a strong second set, the York College men's volleyball team struggled in the other three sets and lost to Brooklyn College, 3-1 (25-10, 19-25, 25-11, 25-19).
York hit .211 (8 kills, 4 errors,12 attempts) in a second-set victory, but hit at a negative clip in the other three sets. Brooklyn's service game was a problem for York in this one, as Brooklyn recorded 15 aces.
In the loss, York got a match-high seven kills from
Kevin Campbell to go along with six digs .
Akeem George had five kills and three blocks and
Akil Vaughn also had five kills.
Adil Manji finished with 27 assists.
Vaugh Titus led the Bulldogs with a match-high ten kills and a .429 hitting percentage. Gabriel Pjatak had eight kills.
Brooklyn improves to 7-7, 1-2 CUNYAC. York drops to 2-11, 0-3 CUNYAC. The Cardinals will visit St. Joseph's College- Brooklyn on Thursday at 7 p.m.
