BROOKLYN, N.Y.—The York College men's basketball team were defeated by Brooklyn College 88-77 on the road Friday night.
Taishaun Forehand-Jenkins led the way with 23 points, six rebounds and three assists, including two-three pointers, while
Devine Chisholm had 12 points, three rebounds and two assists.
Darin Dove chipped in 11 points, five rebounds and five assists.
York shot 46 percent from the field and never lead in the contest.
Brooklyn had six players in double figures led by Jordan Wright who had 23 points and five assists.
The Cardinals got off to a slow start, trailing 20-4 in the early going, but York quickly erased Brooklyn's lead and later would close the half with a 32-20 run to trail by four points at halftime. Brooklyn was in control for most of the second half as well. York did close to within a point early in the 2nd half but Brooklyn held off York by pushing the lead to double digits for the rest of the game.
The loss now puts York's record at 3-3, 0-1 CUNYAC, while Brooklyn improves to 6-1, 1-0 CUNYAC. The Cardinals will return to action on Saturday with a road game vs. Manhattanville at 2 p.m.
