HARRISBURG, PA — The York College (N.Y.) women's basketball team (0-3) loses consolation game to Notre Dame (MD) (1-4) in a hard-fought battle Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals fell by a final score of 48-59 despite a strong effort by three players who scored in double digits, Freshmen, Mac-Dege Dessources (Brooklyn, N.Y./Opportunity Charter HS), Ellma Hodzic (Queens, N.Y./Queens Metropolitan), and Senior, Sheahna Roscher (Bronx, N.Y./Fannie Lou Hamer FHS).
The Cardinals struggled shooting only 26% from the floor and 33% from the free-throw line. Despite their difficulties from the floor Mac-Dege Dessources posted her second double-double of the season (10 points and 19 rebounds). Her outstanding play earned her a spot on the All-Tournament team.
The women's basketball team head back out on the road again to play The College at Old Westbury on November, 25th at 6pm.
