RIVERDALE, N.Y.—The College of Mt. St. Vincent defeated the York College men's soccer team, 2-1, on Monday afternoon.
The Dolphins got on the board when Derrick Cordova found the back of the net within the first 10 minutes of the match. Senior
Rohan Burrell answered with a goal with a shot from outside of the box to tie the game at one a piece at the 28th minute. The Dolphins scored a goal off a corner kick to take the lead 2-1 with 14 minutes remaining in the half. The score held up for the rest of the game.
After tonight's game, York drops to 1-11-1 on the season, while Mount Saint Vincent improves to 2-10. Up next for the Cardinals will be a home game at 4:30 p.m. versus John Jay College The game will be played at Detective Keith L. Williams Park.
