NEW YORK, N.Y. – York College men's soccer team fell to the City College of New York by a score of 5-3.
CCNY jumped out to an early lead and never trailed scoring at the1:42 minute mark when Damian Mendoza scored off a pass from Nicholas Karkut and Cristian Tenezaca. The Beavers added three more goals to close the first half on the Cardinals up 4-0.
In the second half, the Cardinals got on the board scoring at the 67th minute with a goal by Freshman,
Frank Macapagal to make it 4-1. CCNY came back to score at the 76th minute for a 5-1 lead with 14 minutes left in the match. York's Senior,
Rohan Burrell would score on back to back goals in the span three minutes to end the game.
Despite the loss, Sophmore,
Ebrahim Ramos assisted with all three goals on the day. Senior,
Rohan Burrell had two more goals to add to his total of 10 goals overall. This also marked the third time on the season with two goals in a game.
With the loss, the Cardinals fall to 1-10-1, 0-5-1 CUNYAC as CCNY improves to 1-7-1, 1-2 CUNYAC. York will be back in action on October 8 at 4:00 pm at Mount Saint Vincent.
