BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- A 10-win Brooklyn College (10-1, 4-0 CUNYAC) squad handed the York College women's tennis team a 9-0 setback in conference play on Friday afternoon.

Geraldine Guese (Astoria, N.Y./William Cullen Bryant HS) turned in the closest match of the afternoon accumulating five games in a 6-3, 6-2 losing effort at No. 1 singles. Keanya Garries (New York, N.Y./Minor HS) picked up a pair of games falling 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 singles.

York (0-4, 0-5 CUNYAC) has a week off before hosting Hunter College in a CUNYAC matchup on Saturday, October 13 starting at 10 a.m.
