JAMAICA, N.Y. — The York College women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 setback to Hunter College (7-3, 4-2) in CUNYAC play on Tuesday afternoon. 

Sophomore Isabelle Martinez (Bronx, N.Y./Bronx Health Sciences) earned a pair of games in defeat, winning one game at No. 2 singles and another at No. 1 doubles pairing up with Geraldine Guese (Astoria, N.Y./William Cullen Bryant HS).

The Cardinals (0-5, 0-4) play their CUNYAC finale on Thursday, October 18 against the College of Staten Island with the winner qualifying for the 2018 CUNYAC / HSS Women's Tennis Championship that begins this Sunday with first-round action.
