STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.- The York College women's basketball team had a tough time containing the College of Staten Island on Saturday afternoon, losing 101-62.
 
Staten Island shot a robust 55 percent from the field and made 47.8 percent of its shots from three-point range.  They also forced 25 York turnovers which they were able to turn into 34 points.
 
The Dolphins were led by Christina Pasaturo, who finished with 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting. Samantha Flecker scored 13 points with eight rebounds.
 
Karen Bellamy scored 19 points and added ten rebounds, four steals and three assists for York.  Giovana Rosado finished with 14 points and four assists and Diamond Jackson scored seven points and pulled down a career-high 13 rebounds.
 
The loss drops York's record to 5-14, 3-9 CUNYAC. Staten Island improves to 17-3, 11-1 CUNYAC. York will visit Purchase College on Thursday at 6 p.m.
