NEW YORK, N.Y.-- The York College men's soccer team could not do much against John Jay College on Saturday afternoon, losing by score of 3-0.
The Bloodhounds controlled the match, firing off 26 shots compared to ten for York. John Jay got an early advantage after scoring off a corner kick in the 10th minute. Nicholas Trower kicked it directly in off the corner. They then made it 2-0 in the 30th minute when MIchael DeMarco scored off a deflection. Shortly after halftime, in the 46th minute, Mark Shnadshteyn made it 3-0 after an assist from Nadder Munassar.
Despite allowing three goals,
Nigel Sampson finished with a career-high 17 saves for York in net.
The loss drops York to 1-8, 0-3 CUNYAC, while John Jay is 5-4, 4-0 CUNYAC.
