HARRISONBURG, VA—The York College men's volleyball team dropped all three matches at this weekend's Eastern Mennonite Tournament, with two of those matches coming against nationally ranked teams.
On Friday night, York lost to Thiel College, 3-0 (25-5, 25-9, 25-13). On Saturday, York fell to #15 Juniata, 3-0 (25-5, 25-13, 25-16) and #9 Eastern Mennonite University, 3-0 (25-10, 25-18, 25-10).
On Friday, York was led by
Akeem George, who had five kills and a .455 hitting percentage. Against Juniata, George and
Frederis Tapia each had three kills apiece, while in the match vs. Eastern Mennonite, George once again led York with five kills.
Ivan Brito chipped in a team-high five digs.
York returns to action on March 23 with a CUNYAC match at Lehman College at 7 p.m.
