NEW YORK, N.Y.—The York College women's basketball team could not get much going on offense at Baruch College on Wednesday night, losing to the Bearcats, 58-30.
The Cardinals defense played well in this one, forcing 16 turnovers and holding Baruch to 35 percent shooting. However, York struggled mightily on offense, shooting just 18 percent from the field.
Baruch held a comfortable lead throughout but really pulled away in the fourth quarter, when they outscored York 21-7.
Sheahna Roscher led York with ten points and
Mayan Charles had 17 rebounds.
Evanda Redwood registered 12 rebounds and three blocks. Veronica Ganzi had 25 points and five assists for Baruch.
York is now 1-16, 1-8 CUNYAC, while Baruch is 8-8, 7-2 CUNYAC. The Cardinals host Medgar Evers College on Friday at 6 p.m
