NEW YORK, N.Y.—The York College women's basketball team was defeated by the City College of New York on Wednesday night by a score of 64-38.
Juliet Matthews had eight points and six rebounds, while
Sheahna Roscher grabbed ten rebounds.
Evanda Redwood had seven points and eight boards.
CCNY was led by Alexis Akridge, who had 18 points and 14 rebounds. Shakirra Smith scored 16 points and had 15 boards off the bench.
The Cardinals trailed the entire game but were still in the mix in the fourth quarter. However, CCNY outscored the Cardinals 20-5 in the fourth quarter.
York is 1-14, 1-6 CUNYAC, while CCNY is 6-9, 3-5 CUNYAC. The Cardinals host John Jay College at 6 p.m.
