BROOKLYN, N.Y.—The York College women's soccer team couldn't get much going against CUNYAC rival Brooklyn College Saturday, losing by a score of 3-0.
The Bulldogs controlled the contest from the onset, taking 37 shots to York's four. They broke through early, scoring a goal in the eighth minute on a shot by Victoria Ramirez.
Brooklyn continued to fire shots at the York goal and converted again in the 26th minute when Cansu Usta made it 2-0 on a corner kick from Anna Curan.
They later rounded out the scoring in the 77th minute with Jordan Kerwin scoring on a pass from Jasmine Ferman.
York keeper
Sarah Hilaire had a great game in net, all things considered, turning away 17 shots, and helping to keep York in the match.
The Cardinals drop to 2-3, 1-1 CUNYAC, while Brooklyn improves to 3-3, 2-0 CUNYAC.
York returns to action next Saturday when they visit John Jay College at 3 p.m.
