JAMAICA, N.Y.—The York College men's volleyball team was swept in a pair of matches on Saturday, losing 3-0 (25-7, 25-15, 25-13) to Hunter College and 3-0 (25-17, 25-8, 25-9) to Baruch College.
Hunter and Baruch came into the day in first and second place respectively in the City University of New York Athletic Conference standings, and they showed why they are the top two teams.
Hunter hit .321 as a team on the day, led by Benjamin Crusinberry with 12 kills and a .478 hitting percentage. York got five kills apiece from
Randy Adams,
Larry Moore and
Frederis Tapia.
Paramvir Singh had nine digs.
Baruch also displayed a dominant performance, hitting .456 collectively, while holding York to a negative hitting percentage. The Bearcats were paced by Brady Ambro, who had 11 kills in just 15 attempts. York managed just 15 kills as a team, with four coming from Adams and Tapia.
York falls to 12-19, 9-6 CUNYAC. Baruch is now 15-10, 4-1 CUNYAC and Hunter is 20-8, 14-0 CUNYAC.
York will host Lehman College in its final home match of the regular season on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
