BROOKLYN, N.Y—The York College women's basketball team had a dreadful evening at Brooklyn College on Tuesday night, losing to the Bulldogs by a score of 85-34.
The game was the worst margin of defeat for York all season and was the worst shooting night of the year as well. The Cardinals fell behind early and things only snowballed from there. They shot just 17 percent from the field and failed to make a three-pointer, while also turning the ball over 27 times.
Brooklyn, meanwhile, shot 50.7 percent from the field, led Olivia Colbert, who had 21 points and 11 boards.
York got eight points and nine boards from freshman
Claudia Rhoden and 11 rebounds from
Jigcara Grant.
York drops to 4-16, 2-10 CUNYAC and Brooklyn improves to 14-7, 10-3 CUNYAC.
The Cardinals will hope for a better effort on Saturday when they visit the College of Staten Island at 3 p.m.
