RIVERDALE, N.Y.— The York College women's basketball team received a rude welcome in their visit to the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Tuesday, losing by a score of 90-40.
The game was never in doubt, as Mt. St. Vincent outscored York 28-6 in the first quarter and led 49-20 at halftime.
The lone bright spot for York was
Diamond Jackson, who had a career-best ten points and 18 rebounds.
Rafaella Savva finished with seven points and
Giovana Rosado had six.
Mt. St. Vincent featured a balanced scoring attack, led by Brittany Carrol with 19 points and Christina Barone with 18.
The Dolphins improve to 5-5, while the Cardinals drop to 1-8. York will host the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy on Saturday at 1 p.m. in their final game before the holiday break.
