FLUSHING, NY -- In a CUNYAC matchup against Lehman College (5-5-1, 2-1), the York women's soccer team fell short, 5-1.

At the half, York (4-7 ,1-3) and Lehman were tied 1-1. The first goal of the game came from Lehman's Lillian Barreto in the 37th minute from a pass up the middle from Chelsey Harris.

York did not hesitate in answering with a goal of their own just three minutes later. Sophomore Antonella Campos put one in the net with an assist from senior Estefany Delgado.
 
In the second half, Lehman would run away with the lead thanks to four straight goals from Harris. The Cardinals struggled on defense in the second half as the Lightning controlled most of the possession.

Lehman took 17 shots in the second half while York managed just one shot.

York's senior goalkeeper Sarah Hilaire had 16 saves in the game.

The Cardinals are back in action this Wednesday when they take on The City College of New York at 3 p.m. on Randall's Island.
