BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The York women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to SUNY Old Westbury in a non-conference matchup.
The Cardinals were unable to get past the Panthers' defense as York took zero shots on goal in the game. Old Westbury took 17 shots in the first half but the Cardinals held them to eight in the second half.
The first goal of the game came at the eight minute mark when Old Westbury's Melissa Outsen found the back of the net after a header off a corner kick from Mayra Bonilla.
Three minutes later, Cara Normile scored the Panthers' second goal of the game with an assist from Outsen.
The two other Panther goals came in the 50th and 65th minutes of the game.
York's goalkeeper Sarah Hilaire had seven saves in the game.
The Cardinals return to the field for their final regular season game this Saturday when they take on CUNYAC rival The City College of New York at 11 a.m.
