CRESSON, P.A. – The York College women's volleyball team picked up a 3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-13) win vs. Summit University during a quad match held at Mt. Alyosius College this weekend. Earlier in the trip, York lost in straight sets to Mt. Aloysius and Penn State University-Altoona.
York fell on Friday to Mt. Aloysius, 3-0 (25-10, 25-6, 25-17) and were defeated by PSU-Altoona on Saturday morning, 3-0 (25-12, 25-11, 25-9), before salvaging the road trip with a victory over Summit.
The win over Summit was a nice team win, with several members contributing to the victory.
Tiandra Jones had a team-high six digs, along with two blocks.
Renee Daley had five aces and three total blocks, while
Shauncia McClendon totaled four kills and four aces.
Nemesis Gallegos led York on defense with nine digs.
York is now 2-8 after the three matches this weekend. They return to action on Wednesday with a non-conference match vs. Farmingdale at 7 p.m.
