JAMAICA, N.Y. – The York College men's tennis team was defeated by Brooklyn College, 8-1 on a cloudy Tuesday afternoon at the York College Tennis Courts.
York (0-8, 0-5 CUNYAC) struggled to gain momentum in the match. Although there were some close matches, Brooklyn (5-6, 3-2 CUNYAC) was able to maintain control.
Hasnain Khatri shined for the Cardinals at #2 singles, defeating Chad Stevens, 6-4, 6-1. Khatri battled with Stevens throughout the match, exchanging points. In the end, he mustered enough strength to beat Stevens. As a result, he earned his second singles victory of the season.
York will next travel to the Bronx to take on Lehman College on Thursday, April 15 at 12 p.m.
