NEW YORK, N.Y— The York College men's volleyball team fell to #4 Juniata College, 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-15) at a quad match held at John Jay College Saturday morning, but rebounded to defeat St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) in its second match, 3-1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-15, 25-18).
Sebastien Francois was the star of the match against St. Joe's, as he picked up a career-high 19 kills, while hitting .313 with five digs.
Edner Geffrard added seven kills with a .545 hitting percentage and
Moise Duvert notched a career-high seven kills.
Randy Adams, who normally plays outside, was the setter today and recorded 37 assists.
Against a tough Juniata team,
Randy Adams and
Edner Geffrard led York, recording eight kills apiece. Adams and
Sebastien Francois also had ten digs apiece.
After a busy week of action, York (13-14) now has a week off to rest for a pair of key CUNYAC matches against the top two teams in the conference. York will battle Baruch College and Hunter College at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. respectively next Saturday at a multi-match held at CCNY.
