BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The York Cardinals faced off against SUNY Canton, a challenging out-of-conference opponent, Friday at Aviator Field. The fall weather was perfect for a soccer match with a steady southwest breeze.

Sarah Hilaire faced an onslaught of offensive pressure but stayed focused turning away five shots. The first half ended with the Roo's up 5-0.
The Cardinals were able to quell some of Canton's momentum in the second half, limiting the Roo's offense to three goals. Hilaire continued a stellar performance in net under intense pressure blocking an additional two shots in the second frame. Kristina DiNardo led Canton in their offense with two goals. Hilaire recorded seven saves overall which adds to her impressive season for York as she sits at number eight nation-wide in saves per game. The final Score was 8-0 Canton.
The York women's soccer team will close out their season with a make-up game against Yeshiva November 8th at 1:30 p.m. at Randall's Island field #10.
