York cruised to a first-set victory, thanks to a quick 6-1 start in which
Tiandra Jones registered three of her aces. The Cardinals fell behind, 10-6, in set #2 but rallied to score nine straight points and never looked back. The final set once again saw York jump out in front to a comfortable lead early.
The win improves York's record to 6-19, while Purchase falls to 0-21. The Cardinals have now completed the regular season and will set their sights on the CUNYAC playoffs on Tuesday. They will have a tough task in the quarterfinals as they will take on Hunter College, the #2 seed, at 6:30 p.m. on the road.
