JAMAICA, N.Y. – The York College women's tennis team picked up its first win of 2014 and the first win under new Head Coach
Gemma Alexander-Mozeak, defeating the College of New Rochelle, 6-3 on Saturday.
It was a day of firsts for the Cardinals. In addition to it being the first team victory and first win for Alexander-Mozeak, a number of players earned individual victories for the first time in their career.

Julia Asoeva and
Victoria Torres all won for the first time in their York careers at third, fourth and fifth singles respectively. In doubles action,
Hadiatou Sow and Asoeva also earned their first doubles victory of their careers at the third flight.
With the win, York is now 1-4, while New Rochelle is 0-3. The Cardinals will visit Sarah Lawrence College on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
