JAMAICA, N.Y.— After playing its first three matches of the season on the road, the Cardinals finally got to play its first home match of the season on Wednesday. Unfortunately, it was spoiled by Lehman College, who defeated York, 9-0.
The two closest matches of the afternoon both featured
Danielle Dunn. Dunn took the first set in her #3 singles match, 7-5, but dropped the next two sets to the Lightning's Taylor-Marie Soriano. Dunn and teammate
Joanne Ly had the most competitive doubles match, losing an 8-4 decision to Soriano and Kanto Rasedoara.
York drops to 0-4, 0-3 CUNYAC, while Lehman improves to 1-3, 1-3 CUNYAC. York returns to action on Saturday when they host the College of New Rochelle at 12 p.m.
