JAMAICA, N.Y.- The York College men's tennis team had a tough loss yesterday, falling to Hunter College, 9-0, and bringing an end to their winning streak.
After winning three consecutive matches, York struggled against Hunter. Their top two players,
Haseeb Raza and
Hasnain Khatri were dominated in both their singles (6-0, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-1 respectively) and doubles matches (8-1). Freshman
Jay Pal fought hard in his third flight matchup, but ultimately fell 7-6, 7-5.
York will look to get back on track in its next matchup, a home contest against Webb Institute, on Thursday April 10th at 4:30 p.m.
