Du'Quan Lawson distributed the ball well once again, finishing with seven assists.
Purchase (0-7) had four players reach double figures in points, led by Michael Pelham and Creig Graves with 16 points each.
Despite the 12-point margin of victory, it was a close game for most of the way. The two teams went into halftime knotted up at 31-31. The Cardinals saw an eight-point lead dwindle away with Pelham tying the score up just before halftime with a three-pointer.
York held a one or two-possession lead for most of the second half until they finally began to pull away with around 11 minutes to go. A 7-2 York run, with all seven points coming from
Ryan St. John, helped push York's lead to 11 points (60-49) with 9:02 to go. The Cardinals would go up by as many as 15 points from there and never let Purchase get closer than eight the rest of the way.
The Cardinals will look to keep up its winning ways when they return to action on Friday night. York visits CUNYAC-rival City College at 8 p.m.
