Women’s Volleyball Cruises to Win Over Yeshiva

JAMAICA, N.Y.-- The York College women's volleyball team cruised to a three-set victory over Yeshiva University on Wednesday night, winning by a score of 3-0 (25-11, 25-11, 25-14).
 
The Cardinals had little trouble earning their second straight win, as they hit .288—their highest mark of the season—while also holding the Maccabees to a percentage of -.122.  York also added a season-high 20 aces, despite only playing three sets. 
 
All but one Cardinal who entered the match recorded a kill, led by Renee Daley with six kills (.545 hitting percentage).  Kiranjeet Kaur had a perfect 1.000 hitting percentage, as she notched three kills in three attempts, while also adding 20 assists.  Stayce Kay Muirhead and Tiandra Jones each had five kills apiece and Allison Li led York in the service game with six aces. 
 
York is now 3-13, while Yeshiva is 0-11.  The Cardinals will be idle until next Monday, when they host Albertus Magnus College at 7 p.m.
