Women’s Soccer Scores Goal but Falls to Lehman College

BRONX, N.Y. – The York College women's soccer team broke a five-match scoreless drought against Lehman College on Wednesday evening, but it would not be enough, as the Cardinals fell, 3-1 to the Lightning.
The Cardinals broke the drought after trailing 2-0 late in the second half.
Estefany Delgado scored off a rebound, following a shot by
Anna Lales to make it 2-1 in the 73rd minute.
But Lehman put the game away shortly after, getting an unassisted goal from Juliana Generoso—her second of the match—in the 76th minute.
Earlier in the match, Generoso got the Lightning on the board first, when she scored on a pass from midfield by Andrea Vazquez. Shortly after halftime, Lehman made it 2-0 on a goal from Samantha Dias.
With the loss, York drops to 1-7, 0-2 in the CUNYAC, while Lehman improves to 5-5, 1-2 in the CUNYAC.
The Cardinals will visit Old Westbury on Monday at 3:30 p.m
